Michigan Anglers come out in numbers for the Kentucky Lake Stren Series May 7-9 and the FLW College Fishing tournament May 9, 2009.
The Michigan Tech Huskies bass fishing team Jamar Daniels and Ian Flake fished in the event held on Saturday. The teams were fishing for prizes and money for their schools. The boats were furnished by local anglers and Stren fisherman that didn't make the cut to fish on Saturday. After the tournament the MI Tech Team had a chance to talk about their experience on Kentucky Lake. Although the team caught one keeper fish, they made it very clear that they would love to come back to fish this lake. They were excited about what FLW does with this college fishing series. It was not what they expected. They even wanted to fish the rest of the day. This is what our club is all about helping to bring bass fishing into the lives of people who would like to experience it but have no idea of whom to contact. As President of MCBA I made these MI Tech bass anglers honorary members of the Motor City Bass Anglers. We would like to wish this team all the luck and safety throughout the 2009 season.

 MCBA would like to introduce the newest members to the bass fishing scene. The Junior Motor City Bass Anglers. Their club was charted in December 2008, just in time to kick off the upcoming 2009 bass fishing season. These junior anglers are ready to set out and tackle the bass of Lake St. Clair, Detroit River and Lake Erie. Keep an eye on these guys they will be on the tournament scene in the future.
