Our Seniors Fishing Workshop on March 22, 2008 was a great success with MBCA members getting down and personal with our participants. The workshop took place at the Parkview Towers in downtown Detroit for the residents of the complex. There were gifts for everyone, but the greatest gift was spending a day with seniors that really appreciate time well spent learning to do something most of us take for granted. Our sponsors did a great job donating items so each and every one received one cane pole, tackle pack with bobbers, sinkers and hooks. Even some of the MCBA members donated fishing items to give away. All and all it was a very enjoyable day visiting our seniors in the community.
